Prospective Tenants

How to Apply

The Society provides assistance to retired Methodist ministers and deacons together with their spouses/civil partners and widow/widowers. Applicants must meet the criteria relating to the number of years served and finances.

For more detailed information click here.

Equity Share Scheme (2011 update)

Each applicant is required to provide details of their savings. This is to enable us to calculate any contribution which may be required towards the provision of a property. The figures are reviewed each year. The contribution made is converted into an equity share in the property reflected as a percentage share. For more details click here.

Retirement at Pension Age

The Society will contact all ministers and deacons 16 months prior to retirement with an initial inquiry. They will be asked to indicate whether they will be applying for assistance.

Application forms are sent out in the September prior to retirement and meetings arranged to discuss requirements in more detail.

Retirement on Medical Grounds

When you receive your notification that your retirement has been approved you should contact the Society if you require assistance.

The number of years you have served will be calculated as the number you would have served had you continued to retirement age.
